The position is responsible to provide superior customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor and uphold confidentiality; ability to problem solve and manage conflict; ability to effectively handle emergencies and respond diplomatically to complaints or issues.
This position works to secure internship and educational resources for students. He/she works directly with students and helps to guide them on their academic journey and empowers students to lead lives service, purpose and leadership.


  • Owns the Internship Process: Coordinates with Counselors and faculty to ensure CMC has all required documents; Ensures all internship information is stored in the Career Portal; Post internship data analysis.
  • Follow-up with internship employers for internship event and to maintain relationships for future student engagement/employment.
  • Responsible for seeking out external career speakers/educators that support educational and counselor needs: Discovers resources; Creating events around these resources; Actively maintains, seeks & presents new resources.
  • Maintains document library on the Career Portal.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelors degree. One year work experience. Organized and able to set priorities; Able to work under pressure with frequent interruptions; Customer service-oriented; Able to interact with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and ages; Exhibits excellent written and oral communications. PC proficient, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), Internet search and utilization necessary.

Preferred: MBA, Masters in Counseling or equivalent. 3-5 years. Previous experience working in an academic advising environment is preferred. Experience with PeopleSoft. Able to lift lightweight packages, able to sit at a desk for a long period of time. Have high energy.

This is a restricted, exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
