The Senior Developer is responsible for the design, implementation and support of software applications. The Senior Developer will be involved in the entire application development process, including visiting users to analyze processes, studying feasibility, designing, gathering feedback, and implementation of software systems.

Duties

  • Design, develop and implement major custom applications for the University including planning, analysis, design, data modeling, coding, implementation, testing, training, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Provide supplemental server and database administration functions to support the software applications.
  • Assist University faculty/staff/students with application related problems.
  • Provide assistance and guidance, through mentorship, for other developers, student and interns in the Department in order to support University development.
  • Engages in professional development related activities to remain current with industry technology trends and work processes.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in programming/systems or computer science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience. Requires 3-5 years of web programming/systems analysis experience; advanced programming techniques and application design; and knowledge of distributed systems architecture, middleware, or object oriented analysis and design.

Preferred: Demonstrated experience developing Microsoft.Net web applications in C#; SQL Server Administration; Windows Server Administration experience; Mobile Development Experience, Full Stack Developer experience.

This is a regular, exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
