The Communications Manager position manages marketing strategies and executes against agreed to plans that meet company objectives. Evaluates target audience, market conditions, and competitor data to develop, implement and execute marketing plans in support of non-degree programs. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role will manage marketing, advertising, communications/pr, content development, social media/digital/online and events to drive enrollment and engagement across our key audience segments to build brand equity and awareness. A strategic thinker, the Communications Manager will help drive the business while executing tactically and creatively thinking outside the box. Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and project management skills are essential as well as successfully managing competing priorities in a fast paced environment while having fun. The Communications Manager will be instrumental in supporting the marketing team across business initiatives including; building brand affinity and equity, stewarding value creation for current students and alumni, supporting advancement and recruiting efforts that drive engagement and enrollment.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in writing, marketing or communications or related field required. Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to create and customize content for a variety of channels; Ability to work collaboratively across teams to meet shared objectives; Ability to work independently & pro-actively, handle multiple requests/projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment; Quick learner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proven experience promoting recommendations for new or existing marketing initiatives; Strong analytical and financial analysis skills; Ability to track, analyze and report on data related to marketing content; proven ability to adjust content development and dissemination based on these findings. This position will use a number of communication and management tools including the Microsoft suite, familiarity with HTML, CSS, and PeopleSoft.

Preferred: Three years experience writing and editing content and building marketing programs. Ability to think analytically and pro-actively solve problems; Thrive in a fast-paced environment; Quick learner. Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM. ESP experience; Experience with desktop publishing and Prezi. Ability to adjust images and layouts, update email templates, etc.

This is a regular, exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
