The Financial Administrator is to manage, track, and support all financial processes related to faculty members. This position facilitates and administers financial processes with various internal and external constituents. This candidate will contribute to the University's mission by providing financial and administrative support to the faculty so that they can focus on providing an enhanced academic experience to students.


  • Process, manage, and track faculty requests for expense reimbursements
  • Manage, track, report, and remit payments for faculty award funds
  • Create requisitions/purchase orders and pay invoices
  • Credit card processing (i.e. payments, reallocation, substantiation, and proxy duties)
  • On-boarding services for new faculty, research assistants, independent contractors, and temporary employees
  • Class mileage reimbursements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Uphold the University mission through work performed

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance/Business. 2 years of work experience in the accounting/finance field; Demonstrated experience in administrative support, accounting analytical skills, ability to work with groups and independently, ability to meet deadlines. Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to be pro-active in resolving financial issues. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions; General PC operations, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and proficiency in Excel a must. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Simpler Systems.

Preferred: BA, Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 years of work experience in the accounting/finance field.

This is a temporary non-exempt, 40 hour per week position with an estimated duration of 4 months.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
