The Seaver Special Projects Coordinator facilitates the efforts of the Seaver College Dean and Dean's Office to plan, prepare, and implement projects that advance Seaver College and enrich student learning. The coordinator also assists the Seaver Dean and Dean's Office by performing general administrative tasks and assisting in all aspects of special events.


  • Work both independently and in collaboration with various University constituents on projects of importance to Seaver College. Duties will include planning, data gathering and analysis, writing, and implementation of various projects.
  • Provide direct support to the Dean of Seaver College.
  • Provide direct support to all associate and assistant deans in the Dean's Office.
  • Serve as a member of the Dean's Office Administrative "Team". Duties will include assisting in the events leading up to and including graduation and other tasks assigned by the dean, associate deans, or Coordinator of Administrative Services.
  • Maintain a helpful environment in the Seaver Dean's Office by answering phones, email, and in-person inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science degree. Ability to multi-task/effectively prioritize; be self-motivated; communicate clearly; attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Preferred: Knowledge of Pepperdine; Experience writing effectively and persuasively, experience with data analysis; ability to think both creatively and critically; ability to work and lead teams; ability to work autonomously. Google Drive, Adobe Creative Suite; PeopleSoft, Blackboard Analytics, Sakai/Courses

This is a regular, non-exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
