The Psychology@Pepperdine online programs include the MACLP program, which prepares students to become LMFTs and LPCCs, the MSBP Program which prepares students to work as applied behavior analysts, and the MAP program which prepares students for further study in psychology or careers in the field. These aims are consistent with the mission of Pepperdine University to prepare students for lives of service, purpose and leadership. The Psychology@Pepperdine Program Administrator plays a critical role in the administration of these programs and as such supports both program's contribution to the University's mission.

Duties

  • Provides administrative support to the Psychology@Pepperdine Program Director.
  • Assists in the preparation of Psychology@Pepperdine outcomes reports (e.g., annual, 5-year internal reports and annual BACB reports).
  • Perform other duties as assigned (including, but not limited to, maintaining the Psychology@Pepperdine calendar, scheduling meetings and arranging rooms; preparing minutes of Psychology@Pepperdine program meetings; and assisting with Psychology@Pepperdine events).
  • Provides administrative support for Psychology@Pepperdine Programs, faculty, and interfaces with program partners at 2U, Inc.
  • Provides student support, academic and clinical advisement to Psychology@Pepperdine students.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Training in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database programs; training in Acrobat and/or other programs specific to the development of forms (paper and web-based), training in web-based applications and in the preparation of web-based content; training in managing listserves and other forms of electronic communication, e.g., Twitter, electronic surveys and calendars. Work experience that required attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills, independent follow-through. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Acrobat, and database programs; familiarity with or ability to quickly develop competence in web-based applications and in the preparation of web-based content; management of listserves and familiarity or expertise in other forms of electronic communication, e.g., Twitter, electronic surveys and calendars. Competence in MS-Office, Acrobat, database management (e.g., Excel or FileMaker), ability to learn web-based applications and to edit web content.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree; knowledge of information/database management and media. Master's degree in psychology or related field preferred. Experience in a values-based, Christian institution and familiarity with graduate education in psychology as well as the profession of psychology. Experience in database management, editorial skills, web-design, "self-starter" / innovator. Experience in the development and maintenance of databases and on-line information systems and familiarity with web-based applications and design.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
