The Career Services Specialist provides operational support to GSEP's Career Services department.


  • Supervise paraprofessional staff.
  • Serve as point person for career management technology system.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support, including departmental communications/correspondences, operations management, etc.
  • Provide logistical support for career development programs and projects, including career outcomes collection and program assessment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree; at least one year of paraprofessional or professional experience in at least one of the following areas: career and professional development, higher education/student affairs, business operations/marketing/administration. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; professional customer service skills; problem solving skills; technical skills; solid writing abilities; good organizational skills & follow through; effective project management skills.

Preferred: Master's degree in related field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, Business); experience learning and implementing new technology; event planning experience; customer service experience. Knowledge of career services best practices; knowledge of office management best practices.

Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal, education, and employment screening.

This is a regular, non-exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
