Help advance the vision of the Seaver College Career Center by planning, marketing and executing events and programs that provide students and alumni with high quality career education and access to a broad network of graduate schools and employers. Work in conjunction with the executive director, career center staff, campus partners, and employers to develop a relevant and fun culture where students are encouraged to take responsibility for their career early and are supported through gaining access to top notch companies and organizations. Develop and maintain on-going relationships with recruiters in order to facilitate on-campus recruitment activities that expand employment or graduate school options for Seaver students and alumni. Tell the Career Center story through powerful branding, messaging, marketing, and program development. 


  • Plan and promote career center events including industry career fairs, networking events, Career Coaching Program, senior launch program and Career Week. Plan Career Center calendar in accordance with master calendar as well as known student events.
  • Oversee all logistics and marketing for on-campus recruitment activities including employer information tables, information sessions, resume collects, industry panels, networking events, interview days, executives in residence, and on-campus interviews. Manage details of all programs using Handshake career management platform.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Director and Director of Strategic Employer Partnerships, create and implement a strategic marketing plan for the Career Center. Advertise and promote events, On-Campus Recruitment, and programs to students, faculty, administration, and strategic partners. Implement annual Success After Seaver marketing campaign.
  • Serve as Handshake superuser and work with Office Manager to identify opportunities to leverage system updates and settings, improve processes, and provide highest level of customer service to all constituents using the system. Provide Career Center Executive Director with appropriate assessment measures and reports in accordance with student learning objectives.
  • Strengthen collaborative relationships with University departments, student organizations, faculty and recruiters to align initiatives and develop effective partnerships for the goal of creating and promoting Career Center events and services.
  • Develop relationships with recruiters and provide services and resources that add value to their recruitment experience and success at the University.
  • Supervise student worker(s); attend chapel; serve on the emergency response team; uphold University mission; other duties as assigned.
  • Engage with professional community through career-related associations and organizations, and through making presentations to University, business and industry colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: BA in Marketing, Business, Communication or any relevant field. Proven event planning and marketing success with/for diverse constituents. Superior organizational and coordination skills; excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including telephone, face-to-face and business writing with proofreading and basic editing skills; knowledge and practice of sound marketing principles including experience designing and implementing a marketing campaign; ability to design messaging and imagery for effective marketing campaigns. Polished and professional demeanor; superior customer service; detail-oriented; supervisory skills; ability to work independently and as a part of a team; ability to establish work priorities; ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, University personnel, recruiters, and the public. Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; ability to establish and maintain an events budget successfully; ability to work at a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time; ability to bend and lift light loads (e.g. small boxes of materials or supplies); ability to work some nights and weekends as required. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive/Docs, Adobe Creative Suite, and confidence using cloud based Internet tools and information systems; comfortable using data management systems and incorporating technology to add value to events, employer, and student services.

Preferred: Minimum two years working with employers, events, or recruitment. High level graphic design, persuasive writing/messaging, social media marketing, and video capture/editing experience. Familiarity with Handshake or other career management system, Salesforce, and iMovie. Preferred personal faith in Jesus Christ, active involvement in a local church, and demonstrated support for the Christian mission of the University.

This is a regular, exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
