The purpose of the Accounts Payable Analyst is to ensure the financial obligations of the University are paid accurately and in a timely manner. Effectively steward existing financial resources in ways that support and sustain the University's aspirations by reviewing and executing financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner. lncrease the quality of dialogue and sense of community among faculty, staff, students, and administration through accurate and timely responses to finance processing inquiries.


  • Audit and process employee and student reimbursements and travel advances via PeopleSoft.
  • Provide support and assistance to employees.
  • Research, analyze and resolve discrepancies and claims raised by departments.
  • Maintain an Excel spreadsheet of employees and student travel advances.
  • Process travel advance reminders and past due notifications.
  • Interface with department representatives.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to ensure internal procedures are upheld.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: High school degree or equivalent; customer service experience; previous data entry experience. Attention to detail; strong writing and communication skills; Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Able to use PC computer and calculator.

Preferred: Some college; classes in business, bookkeeping, and accounting; PeopleSoft; general office experience; one year of purchasing, accounts payable, or employee reimbursement experience strongly preferred.

This is a regular, nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
