The Recruiting and Employer Outreach Manager acts as the primary liaison between students and employers. He/she organizes the CDO's semi-annual on campus interview programs and builds relationships with employers. He/she also helps to maintain the online employer and jobs posting database, publishes the office's external communications, and manages the student workers.

Duties

  • Facilitate recruiting programs, including informational presentations to students, employer recruitment and registration, application material assembly and distribution, interview scheduling, event setup and post-event follow-up.
  • Actively seek out employment opportunities for students and alumni, including periodic mass employer outreach, communicating with employers, and scouring online sources for opportunities.
  • Promote job and internship opportunities, networking events, and other items of interest via two weekly e-newsletters.
  • Hire, train, and supervise student workers.
  • Run, edit, and manage employer, student, and alumni reports on Symplicity.
  • Post and approve positions on Symplicity (job postings and employer information management system) and ensure that employer contact information is kept up to date.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree. Superior communication skills, including telephone, face-to-face, and business writing. Extremely detail oriented. Supervisory skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Ability to establish work priorities. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, University personnel, recruiters, and the public. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong PC computer skills and comfort working with online data management and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred: Degree in marketing, communications, human resources, or related field. Minimum two years working with employers, events, marketing, and/or recruitment.

This is a regular, nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
