This position manages the day to day financial affairs for International Programs and administrative assistance to the Dean of International Programs. International Programs exists to give students a life-changing international experience that ultimately serves to strengthen them for purpose, service, and leadership.

Duties

  • Manage financial affairs for IP including reviewing credit cards, reallocating/reconciling expenses, submitting on line requisitions and reimbursements, managing digital disbursements, creating rate table and student charges, maintain program cost information, provide oversight of major equipment and R&R purchases, manage budgets for all faculty-led programs, understanding and interpreting simpler systems in PeopleSoft, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the dean of International Programs including screening and scheduling all calls, maintaining dean's calendar, maintenance of confidential documents, assisting with the Global Fellows Program and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist IP Dean with preparations of research projects, PowerPoint presentations, program evaluations and surveys, applications, contracts and personnel files, contact lists and directories, operational manuals and handbooks and other projects as needed.
  • Assist IP Dean with preparations for events and meetings including the annual Director's meeting, the monthly IP Council meeting, Faculty-in-Residence workshops, dean's courses, speaking engagements and other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Managing financial information and processes. Minimum one year work experience in an office environment. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines; must uphold a professional demeanor and confidentiality; ability to problem-solve; ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Experience with PeopleSoft; Customer service experience; Experience working in University setting, particularly in a study abroad office.

This is a regular, exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
