Under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Director, the Engagement Specialist will provide direct operational support of events and communications objectives related to Enrollment Management. The Engagement Specialist will assist with recruitment, application, admission and yield outreach focused on event planning, communication, registration, and awareness. The Specialist should feel comfortable working with a variety of constituencies, including Enrollment Management team members, faculty members, and staff throughout the University. Major areas of responsibility will include: comprehensive administrative and operational support, event coordination, communications, and scheduling.


  • Overall event and outreach project coordination related to Enrollment Management (including Recruitment and Admissions.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support to the Enrollment Engagement department and team.
  • Provides logistical and coordination support of Enrollment Management events organized by EE Maintains EE events calendar and manage bi-weekly distribution to the EM team.
  • Assists with coordination and support of marketing efforts.
  • Provides proofreading support in accordance with the PGBS style guide.
  • Maintains welcome packet and other admissions/yield materials purchase and inventory control Provide on-the-ground support for events to help ensure the events run smoothly.
  • Participates as an active member of the Enrollment Engagement team and broader Enrollment Management department, sharing information and collaborating with colleagues in a respectful and professional manner, and contributing to a healthy and positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and ability. 2-3 years experience. Strong organizational and technical skills are necessary, including the ability to work in partnership with the administrative staff to ensure division efficiency; strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty and staff and to represent the PGBS with tact and professionalism at all times; excellent organizational skills; and must be able to prioritize workload and complete tasks to meet deadlines, with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of common office procedures and equipment; ability to work with diverse groups of people; and the ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality on a wide spectrum of topics and issues for which discretion is required. Able to work weekends and evenings to help with events as necessary. Must be computer literate and have or be able to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce administrative system and other project management software. Comfort working with data, including data input, creating reports, and analyzing trends. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and email systems.

Preferred: Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, customer service-oriented, data entry and management unit of an educational institution preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Suite applications – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, is preferred.
