The purpose of the Room Assignments Coordinator position is to manage student room assignments and operate all software that is related to the housing assignments process.

Duties

  • Responsible for all housing assignments, communication with residents regarding their housing assignments, manages housing assignments software and helps facilitate room changes when necessary.
  • Responds to all student inquiries regarding housing assignment information, housing rates, and access control.
  • Coordinates residency requirements for students and assists with the exception and exemption communication process. 
  • Coordinates with Financial and Meal Plan Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator to come up with effective ways to promote and announce housing selection calendar events.
  • Attends convocation/chapel on a weekly basis.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelors degree and understanding of computer database or assignment software; Ability to use excel databases; Attention to detail, use of computer and database systems Knowledge of Excel, Word, Google suites required

Preferred: Able to provide high levels of customer service and insight to understand complex assignment processes; Two years of professional experience in a university setting is preferred, experience in developing marketing materials; Experience in running university or housing-related databases and software systems

This is a regular, nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
