The Business Assessment Analyst reports to the Associate Provost of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as data analyst for assessment and accreditation software systems (Watermark, Portfolium, and Interfolio). The incumbent will work with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure data accuracy and quality, provide reports for the purposes of assessment and accreditation and train students, faculty and staff to use software applications. This position is required to develop data reports for faculty at regular intervals that will be used for program planning and improvement.

Duties

  • Manage individual student and faculty accounts for Watermark and Portfolium. 
  • Manage Interfolio software including integrations with other institutional systems, coordinating configuration changes, and administrative accounts. 
  • Develop reports that include data analysis and interpretation.
  • Respond to internal requests from faculty and students related to the use of assessment and accreditation.
  • Support and assist Pepperdine departments and schools with assessment and accreditation efforts. 
  • Use OUCampus to make updates to the OIE website
  • Uphold university mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree; strong command of Microsoft suite with emphasis in Excel; experience with web-based software

Preferred: Master's degree; experience with databases; knowledge of assessment management system; familiarity with Pepperdine website; familiarity with Watermark and Portfolium

Salary: Commensurate with experience
