The purpose of this position is to provide support to Pepperdine University's West Los Angeles and Malibu Drescher Graduate Campus for events hosted by the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. This person will obtain and schedule presenters for monthly psychology workshops at the Pepperdine University's West Los Angeles and Malibu Drescher Graduate Campuses. They will interface with Pepperdine staff to reserve and arrange rooms, create signs, advertise events, and provide technical support; interface with the manager of Professional Development and Clinical Training on planning and progress. This position helps the department to advertise events to students, alumni, professionals in the mental health community, etc. Additionally, they prepare and host each event and delegate tasks to available Graduate Assistants.


  • Prepare and host each event, create and distribute evaluations after each event, and follow up with participants, students, faculty and staff.
  • Secure, schedule, and support presenters and complete necessary process for speaker payments.
  • Advertise events to students, alumni, professionals, etc.
  • Attend regular team meetings to plan and share reports of events at campuses. Collaborate with program leadership to plan events across campuses. Delegate appropriates tasks to available Graduate Assistants.
  • Interface with Pepperdine staff to reserve and arrange rooms, signs, advertising, and technical support; interface with clinical supervisor on planning and progress.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree. Ability to effectively with coworkers, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner, listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others, keeping commitments, keeping others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifiers; and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions,
words and deeds. Ability to operate computer and laser printer, telephone (including voice mail and facsimile machine), calculator, and photocopier

Preferred: Master's degree in Psychology Microsoft Suite, Google Suite. Ability to create flyers. Experience with SEO.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
