This position exists to assist the Crest Associate executive director in managing the stewarding of Crest Associates (over 300 local
community households) and the Crest Advisory Board to keep them donating to and engaged with Pepperdine University. This position contributes to the University's mission by supporting the executive Crest director in stewarding donors who support our students through financial and other contributions.


  • Manage the care of approximately 300 households by processing gifts, issuing ID cards, billing, creating thank you letters and special donor correspondence and recognition. Take care of donor needs/office visits.
  • Manage the Crest office phones, mail, supply inventory, assist in budget expense management. Maintain calendar for executive director create reports, assist executive director in tracking and stewarding donors.
  • Organize special events for the Crest Associate donors and the Crest Advisory Board in conjunction with the executive director from conceptualization to execution. Personally staff and coordinate staff for events.
  • Write, edit, and produce the Crest newsletter under the direction of the executive director. Update and maintain the Crest Web site and calendar. Create Power Point presentations as needed and take photos and archive.
  • Supervise, train and evaluate Crest office student workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Minimum two years of general office experience. Strong writing and proofreading experience. Strong organizational skills and phone manner. Customer service experience and calm demeanor. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Discretion and confidentiality. Ability to work multiple phone lines, copy machine, fax machine, laminating machine and digital camera

Preferred: Experience with customer service, database use, event planning and budget expense management. Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Outlook experience a plus. Some college experience. Familiar with database use and ability to learn new software/database tools. Ability to work independently on projects and as a team with co-workers. Raiser's Edge experience and PeopleSoft programs a plus. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and merging documents
