This is a full-time position. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise, execution of development projects using the Oracle Peoplesoft Development tools. The ERP Developer supports the University by working on custom software applications as well as integrating and/or implementing Oracle Peoplesoft delivered and third-party software. Individuals within the ERP Applications Development career progression work closely with clients, business analysts, and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions for the development and operation of ERP systems. They typically help on design, test, and debug ERP software, while also providing client support, consultation, and subject matter expertise for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support. ERP developers consult with Chief Developer to ensure that all ERP applications are in compliance with the organization's architectural standards. ERP Applications Developers configure, analyze, develop, and maintain ERP program codes and applications to support business processes and functions. They also work on elements of large, complex installations.

Duties

  • PeopleSoft Software Development: Work with some areas PeopleSoft Development environment. Responsible for developing and maintaining interfaces to and from the ERP system. Responsible for high-level support and troubleshooting all issues related to functional processes that are not working to the business community's satisfaction. Participate in design efforts for new, mid-level programs and processes. Participate in designing custom processes and components or adapt delivered integration to a third party or other packaged applications software. Design activities may involve learning package software and evaluating configuration options of the application against business requirements. Demonstrate the ability to perform systems development tasks and manage multiple development tasks is necessary. 
  • Collaboration: As needed or required: Provides backup support and assistance to other team members. Collaborates with co-workers and university colleagues on departmental projects. Shares process information and make informal recommendations on how to improve processes and overall job execution within the team/department.
  • Professional Development: As needed or required: Attends training, vendor presentations, user group meetings, conferences, and seminars. Engages regularly in individual professional development related activities to remain current with industry technology trends and work processes.
  • Beyond Job Duties: As needed or required: Volunteers to undertake tasks that stretch the employee's capabilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Strongly Preferred: From 2-4 years of programming and/or Oracle Peoplesoft ERP systems analysis experience. Some knowledge of programming techniques and software design using Peoplesoft Development Environment. Peoplecode, Application Engine, SQR, SQL, DMS.

Preferred: Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in programming/systems or computer science or equivalent experience. PeopleSoft FSCM version 9.2, UNIX, Database experience. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure concepts is a plus.

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: $80,000-$90,000
