The primary purpose of this position is to recruit qualified, fully-employed, business professionals to the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School (PGBS) Part-Time MBA program. This position is responsible for cultivating relationships for pipeline generation purposes and proactively engaging with new and existing leads by conducting email and call campaigns, individual consultations and facilitating class visits, student panels, information sessions, virtual and in class presentations, and other in person and virtual engagement events and activities.

The Recruitment Advisor will join the Part-Time recruitment team and will be expected to work in collaboration with teammates and peers across three verticals (Full-Time, Part-Time, and Executive programs) to promote the Pepperdine University and Graziadio Business School mission and purpose and inspire prospective students to pursue their graduate business education.

Duties

  • Respond to new and existing inquiries, qualify interested candidates through individual consultations, email/phone communications, and guide prospective students through the exploration phase, application submission process to enrollment. Maintain up-to-date prospect records in the CRM system, report on pipeline activity and be knowledgeable about the competitive landscape in the region, and assist with file completion.
  • Schedule, coordinate, design and execute recruitment activities: campus tours, classroom visits, webinars, new admitted student reception, education fairs, community/corporate events, etc. (Evenings and Saturdays events are hosted regularly.).
  • Prospect generation: (1) Identify and cultivate new channels for prospect generation through community and business development efforts, (2) Maintain and continually foster existing relationships with internal and external advocates (prospects, students, alumni, faculty, business contacts, etc.).
  • Complete administrative duties and other projects as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Education, or a related field; Five (5) years of experience working in a business environment with sales/recruitment responsibility. Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays is required. Group facilitation, public speaking and event management skills are required. Excellent sales and business development skills and the ability to build exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as a diverse and non-traditional domestic and international student population across 4 remote campuses including Irvine, Calabasas, West LA, and Encino. Exceptional coaching and advising skills with a proven record of producing exceptional results through 1:1’s and group sessions. Online community building techniques and experience. Project management skills with an emphasis on organization, follow-through, and proactiveness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on business professional language. Must be able to converse and work collaboratively with a Pepperdine students, staff, faculty, and alumni. Highly motivated and energized individual with a can-do, no-job-is-too-small spirit. Creative outside of the box mindset, excellent knowledge of Social Media management, specifically via Instagram and LinkedIn. Proficiency with CRM systems and standard Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable with Google-based applications and other digital resources designed to facilitate information sharing and collaboration; Social Media savvy with extensive experience with content creation and lead generation through LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Canva.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business, Communication, Education, or a related field. Proficient experience in digital marketing and content creation, general knowledge of various creative and marketing tools and platforms. Understanding of both traditional and non-traditional academic programs, including those designed to serve seasoned business professionals and executives; awareness of broader institutional and systems-related parameters that govern program administration. Experience with Salesforce, Peoplesoft, or similar CRM and university records management database; demonstrated ability to leverage current and emerging technology tools to enhance prospect communication and engagement.

This is a Restricted, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
