The Accreditation Specialist provides administrative assistance to the Associate Provost, and general office coordination and support to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). The incumbent will be expected to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. The incumbent should possess the ability to balance multiple priorities and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This position reports directly to the Associate Provost.


  • Manage accreditation-related projects and documentation.
  • Provide administrative assistance and support to the Associate Provost.
  • Provide office coordination and general clerical duties for the OIE.
  • Assist with budget, purchasing, and processing.
  • Assist with OmniUpdate (OU) campus for the OIE website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including OIE research support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion. 
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree required. Two or more years of office administrative experience required. Time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and pay high attention to detail, required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional discretion required. Strong organizational skills required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with minimal supervision required. Experience/proficiency in MS Office Suite and G-Suite required.

Preferred: Experience with Pepperdine management and finance systems in Wavenet preferred.

This is a Restricted, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
