This position assists with the various tasks associated with assurance projects including data analysis. The position also serves as the primary point of contact and handles the day-to-day administrative details for the General Counsel area, which includes the Office of the General Counsel and Assurance & Advisory Services.


  • Assist with assurance projects by collecting documentation, analyzing data, and organizing the data using Excel and other technology tools; serve as a liaison between AAS, University departments, and outside consultants on co-sourced projects; attend and document meetings as needed; document the status of department action plans.
  • Assist the General Counsel area with office administration, including but not limited to ordering office supplies, substantiating credit cards, and receiving service of and coordinating compliance with subpoenas and records requests. 
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and reserve spaces for Assurance & Advisory Services and the Office of General Counsel.
  • Prepare, format and distribute reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain departmental databases and websites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the University mission.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree; strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, proficient in Excel and Adobe Acrobat; superior interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, attorneys, and University administrators; ability to organize, prioritize, and perform work while under pressure; and the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive matters. Computer, fax, scanner, printer, phone, copier.

Preferred: 2 years' experience as administrative/project coordinator, executive secretary or administrative assistant; knowledge of basic website updating/maintenance; knowledge of MS Excel formatting and formula creation.
