The Center for Applied Research (CAR) at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School (PGBS) is looking for a motivated, experienced professional to support all CAR initiatives and School-wide research activities. This position will report to the Director of the Center.

The project manager and analyst will perform a broad range of tasks in promoting faculty research, improving research quality, and enhancing PGBS research impact. The primary focus of the position is to support the CAR director to elevate faculty research and build a research community at PBGS, which is one of the key University and School missions and aspirational goals.

This position will assist the CAR director and lead day-to-day project operations and administrative activities of the Center, organize and analyze research outputs for important school functions and goals, and support CAR events and any school research events. 


  • Developing, maintaining, and updating a repository of research and Intellectual Contribution (IC) outputs at PGBS
  • Organizing and performing analysis of research and IC evidence and outputs for important school functions and goals, especially for various accreditation reviews
  • Managing, editing and producing bi-monthly CAR newsletters
  • Performing CAR website maintenance and updates
  • Assisting to produce promotion/marketing materials related to faculty research
  • Planning, coordinating and supporting CAR events and school research events
  • Assisting CAR director with daily operations and various ongoing and ad-hoc projects as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required; combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred: Master's degree; previous project management experience in a university environment. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis and software skills.

This is a Restricted, Nonexempt, 20 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
