The Cashier's Office operations exceed 27,000 annual transactions with totals in excess of 60 million per year. The Financial Cashier ensures that policies and cash controls are met while providing cashier services for students, faculty, and staff; assists University departments regarding best practices as related to receivables and petty cash activity; and provides excellent customer service to all University constituents.
 
Duties
  • Process payments and disbursements coming through the Cashier's Office.
  • Provide back-up support for Cashier's Office Supervisor by providing oversight of the Cashier's Office operations in his/her absence.
  • Balance and report the daily cashiering activity and operations of the Cashier's Office.
  • Prepare University deposits for remote deposit, armored courier pick-up and/or special processing for foreign checks.
  • Interact with all organizational levels solving problems and answering questions as related to cashiering.
  • Assist in training and oversight of Student Cashier's and back-up staff.
  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Participate in managing cashiering from a systems perspective.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
 
Required: Exceptional customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment; strong analytical skills, understanding of systems architecture and ability to operate independently. High School diploma with at least 2 years of work experience; or a Bachelor Degree;  Experience with Windows Applications and Google Suite.

Preferred: Work experience with at least one year of cash handling and knowledge of cashiering software.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
