The Pool Manager is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations of the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool ensuring the pool is compliant with all local, state and national requirements and current on all necessary certifications required for operation. Duties include opening and closing responsibilities, managing staff, as well as coordinating athletics events.

Duties

  • Manage, schedule and coordinate athletic events, including water polo and swim team practices and competitions, open swim, club teams and camps. 
  • Supervise hire and train new lifeguards ensuring all staff have active CPR/AED/First Aid and Water Rescue certification. 
  • Maintain accurate calendars for the pool schedule, lifeguard schedule and administrator coverage schedule at all times.
  • Conduct daily safety walk-throughs of the facility to ensure the area is safe for operation. 
  • Conduct monthly in-service training and regular evaluations for all employees.
  • Schedule all staff in a way that maintains appropriate lifeguard to patron ratio for liability and safety required standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree, Lifeguard certification/Instructor and First Aid/AED certification

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
