The Rise Program Specialist provides primary administrative support to the Rise program director and coordinator. This position provides essential support to the smooth operation of resilience programming at all Pepperdine schools.


  • Provide general office assistance including scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, responding to calls, reconciling credit card statements, editing/proofreading, filing, process payment requisitions, and coordinate travel schedules. 
  • Assist in planning and marketing RISE events, including scheduling and designing marketing materials.
  • As a member of the Vice for Student Affairs offices staff, share general office functions for the suite with other members of the team. 
  • Support partnering wellness programs in collaboration with other student affairs departments. 
  • Participate in chapel and spiritual life programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree and two years of office experience required. Ability to work well with people; ability to function under pressure; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a team member; capacity to handle stressful situations gracefully; ability to multitask; capacity to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment required; strong proofreading skills; knowledge of standard office applications such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Ability to integrate Christian faith with student development theories and practice. Must have a personal faith in Jesus Christ with active involvement in a local church and demonstrated support for the Christian mission of the University. Must be computer literate.

Preferred: Experience in planning and supporting events in a university setting. Experience working with sensitive information related to health and mental health. Experience working with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is a plus.
