Activities Monitor/ Crest Malibu Campus
This position will interact with prospective and current donors from the Malibu community, checking their identification when they are utilizing University facilities, and introducing individuals to Pepperdine University who presently have no affiliation to the University.
Coordinator, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs and the Center for Sustainability Malibu Campus
The coordinator will support the office of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs and the Center for Sustainability. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate, compile, and complete regulatory and governmental reports, surveys, and plans. The coordinator will also support and promote University-wide sustainability programs and initiatives and handle a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office with diverse projects and priorities. The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. This person must utilize problem-solving skills on a myriad of levels, from rearranging complex schedules to revising and refining existing policies. It is vital for this candidate to assess the status quo and the desired final product, then create an appropriate action plan. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are equally important. This role will report to the director for governmental and regulatory affairs.
Event Coordinator, MA Clinical Psychology Professional Development West LA Campus
The purpose of this position is to provide support to Pepperdine University's West Los Angeles and Malibu Drescher Graduate Campus for events hosted by the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. This person will obtain and schedule presenters for monthly psychology workshops at the Pepperdine University's West Los Angeles and Malibu Drescher Graduate Campuses. They will interface with Pepperdine staff to reserve and arrange rooms, create signs, advertise events, and provide technical support; interface with the manager of Professional Development and Clinical Training on planning and progress. This position helps the department to advertise events to students, alumni, professionals in the mental health community, etc. Additionally, they prepare and host each event and delegate tasks to available Graduate Assistants.
Service Plumber Malibu Campus
Under direction of the Manager of Mechanical Services and Lead Plumber for the Department of Facilities Services (Facilities), and in collaboration with your colleagues, maintenance plumber performs installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and related devices throughout campus facilities. Collaborate with Facilities and other University departments to initiate and deliver high quality projects in a timely manner.
Manager of Landscaping and Irrigation Services Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), manages all aspects of the Landscape Services division to ensure an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and clean University environment. Maintenance Supervisor Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager of Maintenance Services in the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), the Maintenance Supervisor supervises assigned maintenance trade personnel to ensure an efficiently functioning, safe, and clean environment in which the University can live, learn, and work. This position is responsible for daily work prioritization, quality control, and customer communication. The incumbent will supervise approximately 20 technicians and oversee relevant maintenance, project, and event support processes. Collaborates with DFS leadership to create a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Warehouse/Service Specialist 2 Malibu Campus
Facilitate and handle University property, furniture and equipment; place and arrange equipment and furniture for University moving projects and event setups. Process all surplus inventory items for the Warehouse utilizing a computerized inventory control system, including receipt confirmations, stock issuing and records maintenance; perform other related duties as assigned.
Assistant Registrar Malibu Campus
The Assistant Registrar works closely with the University Registrar and the Office of Student Information and Services to provide effective student services, maintain integrity to student records, assure FERPA compliance, provide appropriate certification to the Veterans Administration for our student veterans, assure proper grades processing and documentation, ensure accurate data management and usage, and perform other duties as needed to ensure proper and effective provision of student administrative services.
Landscaper Malibu Campus
Under direction of the Lead Landscaper in the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), the Landscaper performs all aspects University grounds maintenance for the Landscape Services division to ensure an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and clean University environment. This position collaborates with DFS and other University departments to complete assignments in a high quality and timely manner.
Assistant to the Associate Dean of Psychology West LA Campus
The Assistant to the Associate Dean collaborates proactively with the Associate Dean to ensure effective administration of the Division. The primary focus of the position is to plan, direct, implement and coordinate the administrative support activities of Psychology Division faculty, staff and administration in order that the function, goals and objectives of the Psychology Division are accomplished. Working closely with the Associate Dean, the Assistant to the Associate Dean takes responsibility for the Division’s administration, including budget, financial and personnel matters, and supervises both the Divisional administrative support staff and Graduate Student Assistants who work in the Division.
Irrigation Technician Malibu Campus
Under general supervision of the Lead Irrigation Technician of Landscape Services for the Department of Facilities Services (“DFS”), and in collaboration with colleagues, the Irrigation Technician will assist in maintaining the University grounds by completing assigned irrigation system maintenance activities, and related tasks to ensure the success and good appearance of campus landscaping.
Structural Services Lead Multi-Craftsman Malibu Campus
Under direction of the Manager of Structural Services for the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), and in collaboration with colleagues, the Structural Services Lead Multi-Craftsman will act as a lead to Multi-Craftsmen and other Structural Services personnel. This position will perform skilled carpentry work and provide technical expertise to support University operations in masonry, roofing, painting, drywall, and other handyman tasks to ensure a comfortable, safe, and clean environment in which the University can live, learn, and work. The position will also supervise Structural Services personnel and oversee relevant construction, repair, and renovation work utilizing plans, specifications, and verbal instructions. The Structural Services Lead Multi-Craftsman will collaborate with DFS and other University departments to initiate and deliver high quality projects in a timely manner.
Maintenance Electrician Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and the Lead Electrician for Department of Facilities Services (DFS) and in collaboration with colleagues, the Maintenance Elctrician will respond to work order requests and supervisors' directions to perform installation, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, components, and fixtures throughout campus. This position will collaborate with DFS and other University departments to initiate and deliver high-quality projects on budget and in a timely manner.
Multi-Craftsman Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager of Structural Services and Lead Multi-Craftsman for the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), and in collaboration with colleagues, this position will provide multi-craftsman-oriented maintenance services to support University operations, including painting, carpentry, roofing, masonry, cabinetry, drywall, windows and coverings, and flooring. The new incumbent will complete repairs and renovation work utilizing plans, specifications, and verbal instructions. This position collaborates with DFS and other University departments to initiate and deliver professional, quality results in a timely manner.
