The RISE Program Coach works to facilitate high-quality and high-touch coaching experiences for students across all 5 schools. This position will provide both individual and group coaching to undergraduate and graduate students in the 6 dimensions of resilience as a member of the RISE Program. As a staff member in Student Affairs who works closely with students, this position serves as a Christian role model.


  • Work collaboratively as an ambassador and executor of the RISE Program's Coaching services.
  • Deliver individual and group coaching to undergraduate and graduate students both in-person and online modalities using the RISE resilience framework.
  • Facilitate coaching intakes to best support students' needs and pairing with the trained coaching staff. Assist in administrative responsibilities for coaching delivery including, but not limited to: coordinating coaching pairings, drafting and organizing coaching notes from intakes and sessions for RISE staff, scheduling, and communicating to coaches and providing coaching to students, and helping inform curriculum enhancements.
  • Assist with coordinating training and education to equip faculty, staff and students with completion of coaching curriculum.
  • Serve as a RISE Seaver 200 group facilitator.
  • Collaborate with the RISE team to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education, or a relevant field. At least two years of experience in coaching, mentoring, or ministry. Ability to work well with people; ability to function under pressure; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a team member; capacity to handle stressful situations gracefully; ability to multitask; capacity to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment required; strong proofreading skills; knowledge of standard office applications such as Google Suite. Ability to integrate Christian faith with student development theories and practice. Must have a personal faith in Jesus Christ; active involvement in a local church; demonstrated support for the Christian mission of the University. Must be Computer literate and possess a working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Preferred: Life coach or professional coach certification.

This is a Restricted, Nonexempt, 32-40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
