The assignment includes administrative support and customer service requiring strong computer and communication skills. This particular position will be primarily dedicated to supporting the Office of Financial Assistance staff to coordinate various student services, and manage data. This position supports federal/ institutional aid processing and compliance for law on-ground and online programs.
This temporary assignment is a wonderful way to become familiar with the people and departments of Pepperdine Caruso Law. Serving in the temporary position is ideal for anyone seeking to gain additional experience or familiarity with the University as they explore full-time work opportunities, as well as those seeking flexible, varied, and/or short-term work opportunities.
Duties
- Assist with follow up/communication processes.
- Assist with auditing student awards based on unit enrollment.
- Assist with updating office forms and brochures when needed; Serve as back-up for online student services as needed.
- Responds to student inquiries.
- Provide student support over the phone and in-person.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: High school diploma and at least one year of experience working in a professional administrative or general office role. Strong customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. The ability to be productive, with minimal training, is essential for success.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree. Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.

This is a Temporary, Nonexempt, 20 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
