This role will provide career coaching for the students in the Full time MS programs at Graziadio Business School. Required are superior customer service skills while maintaining a professional demeanor, upholding confidentiality, and ability to independently problem solve and manage conflict. This position works directly with students and helps to guide them on their search for their future careers, provides resources and tools, seeks out ways of building networks and career opportunities. This person empowers students to lead lives of service, purpose, and leadership.


  • Career Coaching: Provides career coaching for students in the Full time Programs at the Graziadio School. Independently guides students on their unique career paths and uses discretion with contacts and connections that support positive career outcomes for students. 
  • Initiates, develops and maintains company and alumni connections to increase the number of employers, and provide networking opportunities for students and the organization. Independently and collaboratively develops an outreach plan for assigned programs.
  • Events: Strategizes and creates events that support the departmental and organizational objectives of personalized and strong career support and networking. Uses independent judgement and discretion to develop plans in collaboration with others in the department that provide students with contacts, advice from professionals and is synergistic with overall department strategy. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree. Masters of Counseling or MBA. 1 year professional experience. Understanding of the MBA and MS hiring needs of organizations, and the needs of students pursuing these career options. Organized and able to set priorities; Able to work under pressure with frequent interruptions; Customer service-oriented; Able to effectively communicate with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and ages; Exhibits excellent written and oral communication skills. PC proficient, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), Internet search and utilization necessary.

Preferred: 3-5 years' professional experience. Previous experience working in an academic advising environment is preferred. Experience with MBA focus. Able to lift lightweight packages, able to sit at a desk for a long period of time.

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
