Office Coordinator West LA Campus
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance to student visitors, faculty, and staff, maintain the GSEP lobby, and manage office functionality. This includes working at the front desk as a receptionist identifying and assisting GSEP guests, visitors, potential and enrolled students’ questions and concerns. The Office Coordinator serves as the liaison between GSEP, building management and external vendors. This position also offers support for room scheduling, staff and faculty events and special projects.
Resident Director Malibu Campus
In this 10-month position, July 18-May 15, Resident Directors (RDs) serve as ministers, professionals, mentors, educators, and scholar-practitioners. Their primary function is to build community within an assigned residential area, to support students, and to foster respect for the policies of the institution. This position contributes to and supports the University's mission and strategic plan by enhancing the learning experience and by fostering a safe, caring, respectful, and dynamic residential community. Resident Directors oversee 6-15 student leaders including Resident Advisors (RAs) and Spiritual Life Advisors (SLAs); develop communities of 250-450 freshmen, sophomores, or upperclassmen/graduate students; and provide support to campus via an on-call RD rotation.
Assistant Director of Admissions Malibu Campus
The purpose of the Assistant Director is to supervise and guide a staff of two full-time employees and to manage the daily workflow and processes of the Office of Admissions. Additionally, the Assistant Director serves as a liaison by promoting effective communication between the staff in the department and the Dean of Admission. The Assistant Director supports the University's mission directly by promoting it to prospective students while recruiting for the program, describing the opportunities within Pepperdine Caruso Law in which the students can hone their leadership skills and serve the community. In regards to the strategic plan, the Assistant Director keeps the department focused on the work at hand and helps the team accomplish its goals in the most efficient manner possible
Client Technologies Analyst, AV Technologies Malibu Campus
The Client Technologies Analyst works under the direction of the Audio-Visual Technologies Manager or Team Lead to provide technical assistance, support, and training to faculty, staff, and students at the Malibu Campus. This position helps manage classroom technology as well as provides support for select university events.
Assistant Dean for Professional Formation Malibu Campus
The Assistant Dean for Professional Formation envisions, creates, implements, and supports innovative strategies for the development and enhancement of professional formation and career opportunities for Pepperdine Caruso Law students and alumni. This is accomplished through leadership in the Parris Institute for Professional Excellence (“Parris”) and the Career Development Office (“CDO”). With vision and leadership, the Assistant Dean supervises and works closely with the Parris and CDO staff to accomplish the school’s career, professional formation, and leadership goals.
Set Up Services/Service Specialist 1 Malibu Campus
The Set Up Services/Service Specialist 1 position facilitates and handles University property, furniture and equipment; places and arranges equipment and furniture for University events and moving projects; processes all inventory items for the Warehouse utilizing a computerized inventory control system, including receipt confirmations, stock issuing and records maintenance; and performs other related duties as assigned. The incumbent will operate a warehouse forklift and material handling equipment in the performance of duties. Set-up crew staff are essential for making meetings and other activities run smoothly. The set-up crew will be responsible for University event-related setup and breakdown requests. Set-up diagrams will be provided each event set up. Set-ups could include but not limited to setting up and breaking down of equipment, tables, chairs, stages and other duties as needed. This position works closely with staff, faculty, students and other event services in order to determine all event details for execution of events. This position also assists with University move requests, and with the oversight of services of outside vendors hired to support events.
Moving Services/Service Specialist 2 Malibu Campus
The Moving Services/Service Specialist 2 will facilitate and handle University property, furniture, and equipment; place and arrange equipment and furniture for University moving projects and event setups; process all surplus inventory items for the Warehouse utilizing a computerized inventory control system, including receipt confirmations, stock issuing and records maintenance; and perform other related duties as assigned.  Moving services are provided for University business related moves. Moves are conducted utilizing professional equipment required to safely and securely handle University furnishings and equipment. Moves can range from just a single item to an entire office. Items to be moved can often be heavy and involve stairways, therefore the effective use of moving tools, physical strength and stamina are necessary. The incumbent will process surplus inventory at the Calabasas warehouse, assist with University event setups, place and arrange furniture, and oversee the services of outside vendors hired to support events. This position will also operate the warehouse forklift and material handling equipment in the performance of duties.
Associate Director, Center for Estate and Gift Planning Malibu Campus
The Associate Director works in partnership with the Executive Director in overseeing the operations of the Center for Estate and Gift Planning. The Associate Director works with internal and external constituents to further the Advancement work of the University, educate stakeholders on planned giving strategies, helps formulate University policies related to gift planning and gift acceptance, and manages a portfolio of gift prospects.
Landscaper Malibu Campus
Under direction of the Lead Landscaper in the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), the Landscaper performs all aspects of University grounds maintenance for the Landscape Services division to ensure an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and clean University environment. This position collaborates with DFS and other University departments to complete assignments in a high-quality and timely manner.
Supervisor, Custodial Services Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager of Custodial Services in the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), this position supervises all aspects of the Custodial Services division to ensure an efficiently functioning, safe, and clean environment in which the University can live, learn, and work.
Irrigation Technician Malibu Campus
Under general supervision of the Lead Irrigation Technician of Landscape Services for the Department of Facilities Services (“DFS”), and in collaboration with colleagues, the Irrigation Technician assists in maintaining the University grounds by completing assigned irrigation system maintenance activities, and related tasks to ensure the success and good appearance of campus landscaping.
Director of Development, School of Public Policy Malibu Campus
The primary purpose of this position is to build prospect and donor relationships, raise financial support, and increase the donor base for Pepperdine's graduate School of Public Policy (SPP). The position focuses primarily on major-level donors with a capacity to make gifts of $25,000 to $1,000,000 but also raises annual gifts from $1,000 to $25,000+. Build alumni engagement with, and support for, SPP. This is a fundraising position that garners support for our School of Public Policy. Assistant Vice Chancellor and Senior Director of Development, Caruso School of Law Malibu Campus
The Assistant Vice Chancellor and Senior Director of Development will have primary responsibility for developing, organizing, leading, and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program and strategies for the Caruso School of Law and plays an important front-line fundraising role. As a major gift officer, this position will be expected to personally raise major gifts in support of the dean’s fundraising priorities, focusing on donors with a capacity of $100K to $1M+. In addition, the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Senior Director of Development will mentor and supervise the Director, Law Associates, the annual giving officer at the Caruso School of Law whose primary focus is on gifts of $1K to $25K. Project Manager Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Design and Construction (DDC), and in collaboration with colleagues, the Project Manager manages design and construction projects such as additions, refurbishments, remodels, and new construction on University properties. Management will include planning through design, construction, and project closeout. The Project Manager will closely collaborate with colleagues in the DDC, Department of Facilities Services (DFS), Planning, Operations, and Construction (POC), Department of Public Safety (DPS), IT, administration, and other University departments to initiate and deliver projects of high aesthetic and functional quality, on budget and on schedule.
Service Plumber Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager of Mechanical Services and Lead Plumber for the Department of Facilities Services (Facilities), and in collaboration with colleagues, the Service Plumber performs installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and related devices throughout campus facilities.
